What:

A race series on the West side of Portland! The Mid-summer Criterium series is located right off of Hwy 26 to the south. The race offers a great mix flat pavement, corners and categories. New racers are welcome and encouraged just show up with a helmet and road bike ready to race. Race series runs on Wednesday nights July 22nd, August 5th, and August 12th 2009.

This event is produced by Team Oregon, whose mission is to enhance the sport of cycling in Oregon by organizing an accessible team with resources to help all members reach their goals within the sport.

Registration:

$15 entry for each race. $5 to race a second event the same evening.
Registration starts at 5:45 p.m. near the start/finish line.
Cash prizes to 3rd place and primes in the Women's combined race, Masters Men, Cat 4/5, Cat 1/2/3:

Course:


1.6 miles per lap. The road surface is smooth with two fast 180 degree turns. The road is also wide with 3 lanes and bike lanes for your sprinting pleasure. Only 32 feet of climbing per lap.

Directions:

From Portland take Highway 26 West to the Cornelius Pass Road South exit #62A. Continue on Cornelius Pass Road until NW Imbrie Drive, turn right. Take a right at Evergreen Pkwy. and another right onto 229th Avenue. Parking and staging is in the north lot of Hillsboro Stadium.
